Abstract

Allograft meniscal transplants are now being performed to prevent the inevitable joint deterioration that follows meniscectomy. The success of these transplanted tissues is dependent on several factors. These factors include tissue preservation, sterilization, technique, and sizing. An evaluation of the current state of meniscal transplant surgery and results are criticallly evaluated.
