Abstract
This article was born of the memoirs and paths opened as a result of reflections made during a teacher education program for child educators. The work with memoirs led to the production of stories, experiences and other forms of daily actions at school. The aim of this work was to allow in-service educators to systematically reflect on their childhood memories in order to bring them closer to the childhood memories that are a part of their classrooms. As a methodological path we used speech fragments from the educators themselves, field journal observations, writings on their childhood memories, games and toys as school records that have been kept in the memory chests of time and of the dreamed school. We remembered our school things and opened old chests to pick up multicolored rags of many shapes, full of childhood meanings. As these memories were relived and brought to center stage, we were able to weave enchantment back into the educators lives. Through this process, we were able to network the educators’ childhood memories to the childhood experiences of their present-day pupils.
