Abstract
Abstract Experimental studies of Barkhausen emission from polycrystalline gadolinium below the Curie point show the existence of a strict memory effect in magnetic hysteresis whose behaviour is analogous to the Kaiser effect of acoustic emission in stress-strain hysteresis.
