Abstract
In the centenary history of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, the 1990s are characterized by the prompt scientific response of employees to the socio-economic processes taking place in society, expert support for the legislative activities of the Government, Parliament, the release of serious theoretical publications that have received recognition from the legal community. Among them are Concepts of the development of Russian legislation and others. The civilistic and other scientific schools of the Institute developed, scientific and practical conferences were held, candidate and doctoral dissertations were defended, the Journal of Russian Law was established, which has been published monthly for more than a quarter of a century Visits were conducted to the Russian regions to study the experience and assist in the formation of regional legislation.
