Abstract

The world of Diagnostic Imaging (DI) brings back surprisingly fond memories for me. My daughter Haley was a frequent DI visitor throughout most of her nearly twelve years of life. As a pediatric oncology patient, Haley created a ten-foot-long “Beaded Journey” punctuated by twenty-nine distinctive and large MRI beads that looked like a sun on a blue-sky border—perfectly suited to Haley's personality—that reminded me of a day at the beach (Figure 1).
