Abstract

The article describes the structure and possible educational uses of the game Memorie coloniali, which was created through a collaboration between the Istituto Storico di Modena and Ludolabo, as part of a larger educational project promoted and funded in 2021 by the Legislative Assembly of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Gaming can be a highly effective teaching tool, capable of activating transversal and specific skills and competencies. Memorie coloniali is aimed at both middle school and high school students and allows players to initiate reflection on the themes of colonialism, drawing attention to the marks it has left in cities
