R. Greening, to discuss the position with respect to the possible introduction of the International System of Units (SI) into the field of radiation measurement, with a view to recommending a course of action. The Working Party comprised representatives nominated by the BCRU (Professor Greening and Dr. R. C. Tudway), the British Institute of Radiology (Professor J. W. Boag and Dr. R. Morrison), the Faculty of Radiologists (Dr. W. B. Dawson and Dr. H. G. Frank) and the Hospital Physicists' Association (Mr. C. Binks and Dr. M. Cohen) together with Dr. W. A. Jennings, who acted as Secretary to the Working Party on behalf of the BCRU.The Working Party met in January 1973, using as a basis for discussion, the letter prepared by the BCRU on this subject, and published in the British Journal of Radiology (1972). A report of the Working Party meeting was submitted to the BCRU with a recommendation that the report should be circulated to a number of other bodies and individuals in the United Kingdom for comment. This action was taken, and all the opinions expressed were noted and considered by the BCRU.
