Abstract

Japan's Toray Industries Inc is developing a polymeric separation membrane module which, it claims, is capable of cutting carbon dioxide emissions from hydrogen purification processes by more than 50%. The membrane technology, which also reduces the number of modules required to produce the gas, has the potential to play a role in the hydrogen economy.
