Abstract

Potential -Based Community Service (PMBP) is one of the three components of the Higher Education Tri Dharma. This activity places a stronger emphasis on real activities carried out by students so that their presence in the community can be beneficial, especially to the local residents and educational institutions where the activity is located. The purpose of community service is to develop students' personalities in which one of the supporting elements to achieve this is the development of students' perceptions, cognition, and attitudes towards the community.The implementation of community service activities through school lessons tutoring, environmental cleanliness counseling, and go-green movement has been carried out in the village of Watu Kawula, Kota Tambolaka District, Southwest Sumba. The results of these activities include the change of local residents’ attitude toward the environmental cleanliness and the pupils’ behavior in learning pattern and supporting a better environment around them.
