Abstract
Business opportunities in rural areas are still very limited, from the aspect of the number and variety of business types. Productive economic activities that are seen as job opportunities are still fixed on the traditional agricultural sector. This condition encourages most young people to seek employment opportunities in the city, because urban areas are considered to have more work choices. In addition, it is also considered easier in the city to develop a business. As a result, economic growth in rural areas slowed. Meanwhile, the high flow of urbanization has also caused various problems in urban areas. This study aims to analyze how the influence of the development of social entrepreneurship in overcoming the problem of the availability of employment opportunities in rural areas. Specifically the purpose of this study is to see how social entrepreneurship developed by a young entrepreneur in the field of mushrooms can play a positive role in the process of family economic empowerment, especially for rural communities in Majalengka Regency. This descriptive research uses qualitative methods, which are intended to examine problems more deeply and comprehensively (Davis, 2005). This research refers to how to study the qualitative aspects of social life, including the various social dimensions of actions, attitudes, thoughts of social entrepreneurs. In addition, the conditions of the business are analyzed, including processes and events, which are based on construction and meaning organized by the practices of social entrepreneurs related to the main problems of this research.

Selain Gini ratio, indikator dari ketimpangan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang potensial menimbulkan masalah sosial adalah angka pengangguran di pedesaan. Pengangguran dan kurangnya kesejahteraan hidup di daerah pedesaan adalah masalah paling rumit yang masih susah untuk ditangani oleh pemerintah Indonesia hingga saat ini. Yang dibutuhkan saat ini adalah suatu solusi nyata yang dapat membantu mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok masyarakat khususnya di daerah pedesaan, yaitu dengan membangun semangat kewirausahaan sosial pada setiap individu yang ada di masyarakat, terutama pemuda sebagai tulang punggung bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai peran kewirausahaan sosial di sektor agribisnis dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan keterbatasan peluang kerja di pedesaan, khususnya pada penduduk usia produktif. Penelitian ini juga akan melihat bagaimana dampak dari pengembangan kewirausahaan sosial pada pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat di pedesaan, khususnya pada di sektor agribisnis yaitu pada Masyarakat Asosiasi Jamur Indonesia (MAJI) di Kabupaten Majalengka
