Abstract
SummaryNeuroectodermal tumours of the maxilla present challenges for airway management due to the age of the patient and tumour involvement in the oral cavity. A careful preoperative evaluation and awareness of a potentially difficult airway are necessary. Good communication between the anaesthetic and surgical teams are vital. The laryngeal mask airway can be a useful device as it provides good airway control in paediatric patients with difficult airways and can also be used to aid fibreoptic tracheal intubation.
