Abstract

This case describes a family conflict between father and sons because of a newly established business. This case helps students to understand the entrepreneurial skills, competencies and orientations required to launch a business. Haseeb, a fresh graduate, is struggling to get a suitable job but unfortunately, he is unable to find a job. His father, Mr. Murad, was worried and asked his eldest son Waheed to take a bank loan to establish a new business for Haseeb. Initially, Murad was very active in all business affairs himself and Haseeb did not take it seriously and learn anything from his father. After some time, his health started declining and he distanced himself from business and handed over the business to Haseeb, who due to lack of experience and management skills could not manage the business in a proper way. Loans were not repaid on time, there arise issues in the family regarding the business and payment of the loan and eventually, it was decided to shut down the business and sell out the business assets to pay the loan.
