Abstract
Mehdilaimus aurangabadensis n. gen., n. sp. was collected from soil around the roots of sugar-beet. It differs from Cylindrolaimus de Man, 1880 in lacking head setae; in having the oesophagus one and a half times longer than the stoma, the former being almost of equal width throughout its length; in having a prodelphic reflexed gonad, and in having a conoid tail with blunt rounded terminus and without terminal gland and duct. From Aulolaimus de Man, 1880 it differs in lacking a markedly narrowed head end, longitudinal striations on cuticle, oval amphids, amphidelphic gonad and long filiform tail.
