Abstract

In this chapter, firstly, the arithmetic operations of triangular fuzzy numbers as well as the method for comparing triangular fuzzy numbers, proposed by Vidhya et al. (Soft Comput 25:11989–11996, 2021), are extended for triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Then, using the extended arithmetic operations and the extended comparing method, a new method (named as Mehar method-III) is proposed to find all more-for-less solutions of symmetric triangular intuitionistic fuzzy transportation problems with mixed constraints (transportation problems with mixed constraints in which each parameter and each variable is represented by a symmetric triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number). Finally, a symmetric triangular intuitionistic fuzzy transportation problem with mixed constraints is solved to illustrate the proposed Mehar method-III.
