Abstract
According to its original instructions at the Edinburgh Assembly, the Commission co‐opted the essential services of those who are not among its members. The official status of those present at the meeting were as follows: Dr. Harry H. Hess, Chairman, Committee on Geophysical and Geological Study of Oceanic Basins, American Geophysical Union (AGU); Dr. W. T. Thorn, Jr., Chairman, Committee on Geophysical and Geological Study of Continents, AGU; Dr. Harlan T. Stetson, Chairman, Committee on Cosmic‐Terrestrial Relationships, AGU; Dr. J. A. Fleming, General Secretary, AGU; Colonel Jack Wilson, Canadian Arctic Institute; Dr. F. A. Vening Meinesz of Holland; and F. Anderegg, Aerial Photographer to CCOS.
