Abstract

Corrosion control and source water treatment are the two primary means by which water systems will reduce lead and copper concentrations in tap water. Requirements of the US Environmental Protection Agency's lead and copper regulation for these treatment techniques are summarized in the article. This is the third in a series of articles on the lead and copper rule; other articles in the series appeared in the August, September, and November 1991 issues of Opflow.
