Abstract
A new kind of modular wind tower structure for use in multi-megawatt wind turbines has been developed in the USA which provides an alternative solution to conventional large wind turbine tower structures. The benefits of the modular system mean that it can be transported in compact sections using up much less space. Peder Hansen from Valmont, USA reports.
