The report criticized the medical profession's traditional emphasis on continuing medical education (CME) hours earned in lecture format and recommended that continuing education programs be designed to help physicians examine and improve their own practices and answer the questions that arise during patient care. 1 When I read the report, I realized that for almost 30 years, PREP® The Curriculum has provided just such an educational program!
