Abstract

In October 2014, ESCCAP Europe presented the Echinococcus 2014 meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania. The meeting presented the opportunity for highly recognised experts and representatives from many active research groups to provide updates from the scientific field and to discuss solutions to the zoonotic threat posed by Echinococcus spp. This article summarises these findings in the prism of the control of cystic and alveolar echinococcosis.
