Abstract

Prof. V.S.Gruzdev reported on a review of cases of ectopic pregnancy that were permanently observed in the Kazan obstetric and gynecological clinics (Kazan Medical Institute and the Kazan Institute for mustaches, doctors) for 1931 to 1932, and paid particular attention to the rapid and significant increase in the number of cases in Kazan ectopic pregnancy in general and interstitial pregnancy in particular. The speaker puts this circumstance in connection with the increase in the number of induced abortions in Kazan and the widespread use of intrauterine injections here for the purpose of both preventing and terminating pregnancy.
