Abstract

This software is described on the package insert as an interactive multimedia program using high quality digital images, descriptive text, and on-screen graphics for lessons on normal and abnormal organ structure and function. It was developed by the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine, Office of Learning Resources and distributed by Micron Biosystems. No author is listed on the accompanying brochure or on the disc. The software can be run on either a Macintosh (II series or better) or IBM compatible (386SX 33 MHz or better) system. The program is provided on a CD-ROM and consists of two modules: histology and pathology. A third module on hematology is under development. This reviewer concentrated on the pathology section.
