Abstract
Abstract A Jungian lens on the experiences of modern Western women working with plant medicines in indigenous ritual and therapeutic settings reveals that the healing potential of these nonordinary experiences extends beyond the physical or psychological. Within the indigenous context, the medicine and ritual together create an alchemical vessel for healing that becomes a transformational journey of soul and promotes an evolution of consciousness that has implications for the individual and the collective, as well as the earth itself.
