Abstract

To investigate the medical rehabilitation effectiveness of patients with firstly diagnosed lung tuberculosis in local regional anti tuberculosis sanatorium «Hadyach» there have been formed 2 groups of patients, they are: the experimental group and the control one; the patients of the experimental group have been given complex medical rehabilita tion in sanatorium in addition to routine chemotherapy, and the patients of the control group have had their supportive ambulant care without sanatorium rehabilitation. The antimycobacterial therapy for patients with firstly diagnosed lung tuberculosis accompanied with the complex of rehabilitation methods in local sanatorium significantly improves its effectiveness: the resorp tion frequency increase of focal and infiltrative changes in lungs and the rise of their resorption, the increase of frequency and rate of cavi ties scarring as well as the reduction of residual changes number. There have been subsequent increase of complete recovery cases and the reduction of discontinued treatment cases compared with the patients of control group; it allows reducing the side effects frequency.
