Abstract

<h3>CALIFORNIA</h3><h3>Book Plates of Physicians.—</h3> The Huntington Library at San Marino is developing a collection of book plates of physicians. Doctors who have book plates of their own or of others are invited to forward copies to the library to be entered in the collection. <h3>New School of Tropical Medicine.—</h3> A School of Tropical and Preventive Medicine is to be developed in Loma Linda, in conjunction with the School of Medicine of the College of Medical Evangelists. Both graduate and undergraduate medical students will be given training in tropical medicine. Special short courses will be conducted for nonmedical missionaries preparatory to their departure for overseas posts. Dr. Harold N. Mozar, assistant professor of internal medicine of the school of medicine, has been named director of the new unit.
