<h3>ILLINOIS.</h3><h3>Physician's House Burned.</h3> —The house of Dr. George T. Rowland, Martinsville, with all its contents, was recently burned. <h3>Smallpox at Sandoval.</h3> —Public schools at Sandoval have been closed and general vaccination has been ordered on account of an epidemic of smallpox. <h3>Operation on Rockford Physician.</h3> —Dr. Arthur F. Comings of Rockford was operated on January 14. The operation revealed pancreatitis, multiple abscesses of the pancreas and cholelithiasis. Dr. Comings rallied well after the operation. <h3>Chicago.</h3><h3>Many Patients Treated.</h3> —The annual report of the Hospital of St. Anthony of Padua shows that during the year 1,099 patients were treated. <h3>Will Rebuild Hospital.</h3> —Michael Rees Hospital is to be rebuilt at a cost of more than $250,000. A special committee of the United Hebrew Charity Association has raised $145,000 of the amount. <h3>Chirography Expert Dead.</h3> —Henry L. Tolman, noted as a microscopist, and an expert in handwriting, professor of medical jurisprudence
