Abstract

There are multiple medical treatment modalities for the management of obstructive sleep apnea. In this chapter, various treatment options are discussed. In the first section, positive airway pressure is described in detail, including different modalities of delivery and efficacy. The second section covers positional therapy and medication that are available to assist with the management of OSA. The third section focuses on weight loss and lifestyle modifications in regard to OSA. Finally, the last section describes the use and efficacy of oral appliance, or mandibular repositioning devices, for treating mild-to-moderate OSA.
