Abstract

Recent advances in medical experimentation have evoked wide-ranging responses from the medical profession and the wider community. This article argues against the medical profession assessing experimentation issues by reference to a narrow utilitarian model and promotes, by way of a behavioural science perspective, an emphasis on process issues.
