Abstract
Family mediation dovetails with family therapy approaches, in particular the brief, solution‐based family therapies, such that these two interventive approaches may be considered to be notionally quite similar. Comparisons are made, and the implications of moving from mediation to therapy are explored, for both workers and clients.
