Abstract

The anteromedial portion of the tibia lacks significant soft tissue coverage and is susceptible to open wounds which are most often of traumatic origin. In such cases, bone exposure and subsequent infection represent the most dreaded complications [1]. In order to prevent this, the soleus muscle flap, first described by Tobin in 1985, has proved to be an excellent treatment option
