Abstract

Summary: Calcaneal osteotomy has been used for the treatment of symptomatic pes planus for more than a century. We describe the technique of medial displacement calcaneal osteotomy that, along with a dynamic transfer of the flexor digitorum longus, provides excellent radiographic and clinical short- and long-term results in the flexible deformity without many of the drawbacks of other osteotomies and arthrodeses.
