Abstract

We report an unusual case of medial and middle cuneiform separation, associated with Lisfranc ligament injury, in a 52-year-old female patient after a low energy fall. The injury was complicated by a fracture through the medial base of the middle cuneiform. Further imaging with Computerised Tomography (CT) was obtained. The separation was treated with minimal open reduction internal fixation. A below knee cast was applied for six weeks, with the patient non-weight bearing. The patient progressed out of plaster to full mobility after metalwork removal and a period of physiotherapy.
