Abstract The Grand Theft Auto games such as Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City are perhaps the most widely known video games, making their mark in pop culture due to record-setting sales, critical acclaim in the gaming community, and controversial content. On April 29, 2008, Rockstar games released the much- anticipated sequel Grand Theft Auto IV to unparalleled critical acclaim as well as to controversy over violent and sexual content, now de rigeur for a title in the series.
