Abstract

Background. Children and adolescents nowadays are exposed to digital media, altering the way they live, communicate, learn and play. Policy statements on digital media are published internationally, and modified accordingly with media’s increasing influence in children’s daily lives. Across these recommendations, the pediatrician’s role is emphasized.
