Abstract
The goals of this session are as follows: 1) to provide the CAP with basic knowledge and role-play experience in preparing and participating in interviews with journalists before, during, and after a disaster or high-profile event; 2) to be familiar with common pitfalls for CAPs around risk communication and providing interviews with the media, in general; and 3) to better appreciate the needs of the journalist in the interview process around a disaster or high-profile event.
