Abstract

Information about Covid-19 spread on various media, especially social media and the internet in general. This media's existence is straightforward to reach by the public, but the information's content has to reread, whether under facts or hoaxes. It is not uncommon for the public to receive hoax information during the Covid-19 pandemic. Symptoms of the spread of false information about the current pandemic are known as infodemics, which often make people panic and take wrong actions. Therefore, people need equipping with media literacy skills in receiving various information about Covid-19. This research conducted using qualitative methods with the type of case study research. The study results show that so much information spreads, and most people do not know how to filter the correct information to avoid hoaxes.
