Abstract
The concept of public space adapts to the character and philosophy of new media, creating abundance of information that are receiving ever more important social role. The postmodern society often pulsates to the beat of dynamic transformation of political, economic crises, technological revolutions, climate changes, terrorist attacks, media illusions and global spectacles. Staging of communication leads to the abolition of sense, homeopathic grafting of moral panic that is oversized compared to the facts of the subjects basis. The media no longer have an informative and educational function; quite on the contrary, they amuse us, shock us, and develop our 'negative' curiosity by their black chronicles. The race for profits led to violations of professional standards of reporting, such as truthfulness, balance and objectivity. It is important to be the first at any cost, while the infliction of harm to individuals is not often considered. High circulation and rating no longer reflect media quality.
