Abstract

Studies in recent years have shown that the mesenchymal stem cells promote nerve repair and improve neurological function after ischemic stroke. As a major source of mesenchymal stem cells, bone mesenchymal stem cells have potential and broad prospects in the treatment of ischemic stroke. This article reviews the sources, characteristics of mesenchymal stem cells, and the pathogemesis of mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in the treatment of lsehemic stroke and prospects.
