Abstract

1. 1. A low concentration of antimycin A inhibits the reduction of 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) in the presence of succinate and rat liver and heart mitochondria under aerobic conditions. 2. 2. A greater concentration of antimycin A is needed for the inhibition of the reduction of TTC with rat heart mitochondria than with rat liver mitochondria in the presence of succinate.
