Abstract

Based on the data of the EPR spectra, the oxidation of piperidine by traces of oxygen with the formation of cation-radicals is sharply accelerated in the presence of transition metal salts as the result of complex formation. Initiators of the chain reaction for the carbonylation of piperidine with CO are generated in the presence of transition metal salts when the analogous oxidation-reduction process is run at elevated temperature and pressure.
