Abstract
We analyze the experimental data on the influence of sulfate-reducing bacteria on the electrochemical conditions at the crack tip in 40Kh steel placed in a Postgate medium under the conditions of static or cyclic loading, consider specific features of corrosion processes at the crack tips in various media and on the metal surface (including pipe steels under operating conditions in the presence of sulfate-reducing bacteria), and describe the mechanisms of various stages of corrosion processes at the tips of corrosionfatigue cracks in 40Kh steel in Postgate media with sulfate-reducing bacteria.
