Abstract

Drugs may decrease serum lipid levels by impairing lipid absorption, lipoprotein synthesis or release, or by stimulating lipid or lipoprotein catabolism (45). Recent data point out, however, that agents such as Clofibrate (CPIB), generally thought to act only by inhibiting lipid and lipoprotein synthesis and release (3), may also affect lipid absorption.
