Abstract
Laboratory and field experiments are described that were undertaken to demonstrate feasibility of fuse plug in spillway of major dam for application in spillway of Oxbow dam on Snake River between Idaho and Oregon; from data and from tractive force theory, similitude relationships are derived that permit application of model test results to rates of washout.
