Abstract

By replacing powdered metal fuels with high-strength wire, the mechanical strength and modulus of solid propellants can be greatly increased. Progress in developing this technology is reported with emphasis on geometry of reinforcing patterns and experimental tests of reinforced propellant cylinders.
