Abstract

In order to suppress mechanical resonance in the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) speed control system with flexible coupling, this paper proposes high-order sliding mode (HOSM) controllers. Combined with the vector control method, the high-order sliding mode is utilized to improve the dynamic performance of the excitation current and the motor speed. A chattering free control strategy is designed to guarantee the stability of the system. Simulation results show that the proposed method can suppress mechanical resonance, improve the stability of the system, increase convergence speed, and reduce the overshoot.
