Abstract

SIFCON in our country in the construction of numerous structures that demand high standards of strength coupled with superior concert and durability. SIFCON possesses several desirable properties such as high strength and ductility. It also exposes a very high degree of ductility as a result of which it has superior stability under dynamic, weakness and repeated loading. Experimental programme was carried out to study the performance of SIFCON containing 10% of fibre content with different percentage of Hooked End Fibre (0%, 5%, 15%, 25%, 35%). The silica fume replacement is kept constant 15% by weight of cement on the mechanical properties of SIFCON have been explored. According to the results increasing of fibre volumes increases peak stress.
