Abstract
The article concerns the results of estimation of microhardness, wear resistance and contact endurance of hot-working steels VKS-7 and VKS-10 after activization of the cementation process including two stages: preliminary plastic deformation by the warm sinkage method and vacuum cementation. Considerable additional resources for the improvement of operational properties of a complex of important machine parts is confirmed.
