Abstract
This study presents a novel cementitious metallic hollow sphere composite by integrating metallic hollow spheres (MHS) into a cement matrix. Experimental results show that while MHS reduce the stiffness and strength of cement matrix, they enhance deformability and energy absorption. Adding 0.5% polypropylene fibers significantly improves mechanical properties and changes failure mode from brittle to ductile. This work offers insights into MHS materials in civil engineering.
