Abstract

A substantial fraction of the cost of both the design and the construction of the system will be dependent on the structure of the experiment itself, the auxiliary equipment required, and the building in which it is installed. This memo is intended to indicate how some of these problems might be handled, what the equipment might look like, and what its cost might be. The effects of a number of different design choices for major components are given particular attention. (auth)
