Abstract

In this paper, the impacts of including Tungsten carbide (WC) on the mechanical attributes of Polyamide 6 (PA6) based composites were researched. N6 was reinforced with WC by varying the weight extents such as 5,10,20 and 30%. The test examples for mechanical and tests were shaped in an injection moulding machine. The mechanical properties of PA6, ZrO2 fortified PA6 polymer composites were researched as far as ductile, flexural, effect and hardness tests. The N6 composite containing 30 wt% WC explored the better mechanical practices. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was utilized to determine the thermal stability of PA6 composite. The inclusion of WC promotions the existence state of ordinary PA6 positively. These experimental results revealed the 20% wt. WC/PA6 composites enhanced the tensile, flexural and impact strength. Also 30%wt of WC exposes the better enhancement of hardness. Moreover, this composite reveals more substantiated interfacial holding behaviors with enriched mechanical behavior and thermal attributes.
