Abstract

The porous epoxy resin mixture has good mechanical properties, more internal pores, and superior drainage performance. Referring to the relevant data of indoor tests, this article uses PFC2D to construct a digital specimen in two dimensions based on its grading characteristics and spatial structure characteristics of the porous epoxy resin mixture to investigate its mechanical behavior. The indoor uniaxial penetration tests are carried out first, then the results are utilized to calibrate the necessary meso-parameters for different contact types, and we conduct a virtual uniaxial penetration test under coupled action of stress and temperature. We compare and analyze the results of both two tests and the evolution behavior and failure mechanism of porous epoxy resin mixture are investigated. The results of this article can preliminarily form a basic understanding of the mechanical behavior of porous epoxy resin mixture and have important theoretical significance and engineering application value for the evaluation of its road performance.
